Get started with clinical trials in BC
BC hosts over 1,300 clinical trials each year. These are supported by more than 600 investigators, 100 life sciences companies, and 100 sites in urban and rural communities, enabling broad participation.
BC is a prime destination for clinical trials. We have the expertise, research capabilities, infrastructure, collaborative environment, and experience to conduct high-quality clinical trials across the province.
BC’s clinical trials network includes more than 600 skilled investigators across hospitals, research centres, and community sites. Use the Canadian Clinical Trials Asset Map (CCTAM) to connect with qualified investigators, sites, networks, and service providers. Search by therapeutic area, capability, or location to accelerate your trial planning from design to participant recruitment.
REACH BC is a province-wide platform that connects researchers with volunteers and patient partners in health studies. Researchers from BC health authorities, universities, and research institutes can post studies and their results to recruit participants province-wide.
Navigate the clinical trials ecosystem
With modernization of clinical trial regulations and ethics review systems, it can be difficult to know how to best approach our evolving landscape. We can help, no matter if you’re a research team, sponsor, community or patient group, government organization, funder, or research ethics board.
Advance my career and learning

The Network of Networks (N2) is an alliance of research networks and organizations. Its members can access N2 educational courses (available via CITI-Canada). Clinical Trials British Columbia funds and manages the provincial BC membership, so that N2 benefits are available to clinical researchers in BC health authorities and academic organizations.
We provide services, resources, and support for the development and implementation of Quality Management System in BC centres, health authorities, academic institutions, and agencies. We also offer a quality leadership course and mentorship.
